A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms

I thoroughly enjoyed A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms by Lisa Hendey. I think what made the book so captivating was her reflections on the various saints, who held special meaning in her life. The saints run the gamut--from the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. John Paul II...from St. Francis of Assisi to St. Teresa of Calcutta. This is actually an update of a previous edition, and I found it to be very on trend, while still respectful of the long-standing traditions of the faith. Each entry includes a biographical depiction of the saint, lessons the author has learned from the saint, devotions to the saint, a quote about the saint, Scripture verses appropriate to each saint, activities that the entire family can be involved in, a prayer for the family inspired by the saint, and a deep reflection question. I believe this is the perfect gift for the special mothers in your life, no matter what season of parenting they may be experiencing.
